CtrlJoy Creatore Program Terms

These Creator Program Terms outline the rules and requirements for participating in the CtrlJoy Creator Program. By applying to or participating in the program, you agree to follow these terms.

1. Program Overview

The CtrlJoy Creator Program allows approved creators to promote CtrlJoy products using a unique creator code.

Creators may receive:

  • A unique creator code that provides their audience with 10% off eligible purchases.

  • Commission on qualifying purchases made using their creator code.

  • The opportunity to create and maintain a personalized CtrlJoy collection.

  • A share of the net profit from qualifying sales of products within their collection.

  • Opportunities to advance to higher creator levels based on qualifying performance.

There are no referral links. All creator-attributed sales are tracked through the creator’s unique code.

Participation in the program is subject to approval by CtrlJoy.

2. Creator Levels

All approved creators begin as a Standard Creator.

Creators may become eligible for higher levels based on qualifying performance.

Standard Creator

  • 10% audience discount

  • 10% commission on qualifying net profit generated through the creator code

  • 30% share of qualifying net profit from the creator’s collection

Featured Creator

  • 10% audience discount

  • 12% commission on qualifying net profit generated through the creator code

  • 35% share of qualifying net profit from the creator’s collection

  • Potential featured placement on CtrlJoy channels or website

CtrlJoy Partner

  • 10% audience discount

  • 15% commission on qualifying net profit generated through the creator code

  • 40% share of qualifying net profit from the creator’s collection

  • Featured placement opportunities

  • Potential exclusive product and collaboration opportunities

Higher-level benefits are subject to availability and may vary.

3. Qualifying Performance

Qualifying performance is measured using qualifying sales attributed to a creator’s unique code during a rolling 90-day period.

A creator must meet both the sales and order requirements for the applicable level.

Featured Creator

To become eligible for Featured Creator status, a creator must generate:

  • At least $750 in qualifying customer sales, and

  • At least 10 qualifying orders

  • Within a rolling 90-day period

CtrlJoy Partner

To become eligible for CtrlJoy Partner status, a creator must generate:

  • At least $1,500 in qualifying customer sales, and

  • At least 25 qualifying orders

  • Within a rolling 90-day period

For performance purposes, qualifying customer sales refer to the amount actually paid by customers after applicable discounts and before deductions for production costs, transaction fees, or creator commissions.

Meeting the applicable requirements makes a creator eligible for review and does not automatically guarantee a change in creator level.

CtrlJoy may review the creator’s compliance with these Terms before approving a level change.

Performance may be reviewed periodically, and creator levels may change based on continued qualifying performance.

4. Qualifying Sales

A qualifying sale is a completed purchase made through CtrlJoy using the creator’s unique code that:

  • Is successfully paid for;

  • Is not subsequently cancelled, refunded, or charged back;

  • Is not determined to be fraudulent or abusive;

  • Is not a self-purchase by the creator;

  • Complies with these Creator Program Terms; and

  • Is otherwise eligible for creator earnings under the program.

Qualifying sales count toward creator performance based on the amount actually paid by the customer after applicable discounts.

Creator earnings from those sales are calculated separately using qualifying net profit, as defined below.

5. Qualifying Net Profit

Because every CtrlJoy product has costs associated with producing and selling it, creator earnings are calculated from qualifying net profit, not from the full retail price or the amount paid by the customer.

For purposes of the Creator Program:

Qualifying Net Profit = Amount Paid by Customer − Cost of Production − Applicable Transaction/Payment Fees

The amount paid by the customer already reflects any applicable discount, including the creator’s 10% audience discount.

Cost of Production

Cost of Production means the direct cost CtrlJoy incurs to produce or obtain the product sold.

Production costs are product-specific and may include applicable manufacturing, printing, blank product, customization, supplier, or fulfillment costs directly associated with producing the item.

Production costs may vary between products and may change if supplier, manufacturing, printing, or fulfillment pricing changes.

Transaction and Payment Fees

Applicable transaction or payment fees are fees directly associated with processing or completing the qualifying purchase.

These costs are deducted before determining the amount of net profit available for creator earnings.

6. Creator Code Commissions

Creators earn a percentage of the qualifying net profit generated by qualifying purchases attributed to their unique creator code.

Featured Creator 12% of qualifying net profit
CtrlJoy Partner 15% of qualifying net profit

Example

If a product has a retail price of $25.00 and the customer uses a creator’s 10% discount code:

Retail price: $25.00
10% customer discount: −$2.50
Amount paid by customer: $22.50

If the product has a $12.00 production cost and $1.00 in applicable transaction/payment fees:

$22.50 − $12.00 − $1.00 = $9.50 qualifying net profit

A Standard Creator earning 10% would receive:

$9.50 × 10% = $0.95 creator commission

The remaining qualifying net profit belongs to CtrlJoy.

Actual creator earnings will vary because product costs and applicable fees vary.

7. Creator Collection Profit Share

Creators may also earn a percentage of the qualifying net profit generated by products sold from their personal CtrlJoy collection.

The same definition of qualifying net profit established in Section 5 applies to collection profit sharing.

Collection profit share is calculated only after the applicable production costs and transaction/payment fees have been deducted from the amount paid by the customer.

If a customer uses the creator’s code when purchasing an item from that creator’s collection, the applicable code commission and collection profit share may both apply, subject to CtrlJoy’s program rules.

8. Creator Codes

Each approved creator will receive a unique creator code.

The creator code:

  • Provides the applicable audience discount;

  • Tracks qualifying purchases to the creator;

  • Determines eligibility for code commissions; and

  • Measures qualifying sales and orders for creator-level performance.

Creators may promote their code through their social media, streams, videos, websites, communities, newsletters, or other approved channels.

Creators may not alter, manipulate, or attempt to interfere with the tracking or use of their code.

9. Prohibited Purchases and Activities

The following activities do not qualify for commissions, collection profit sharing, or performance credit:

  • Purchasing products through your own creator code for yourself;

  • Creating or arranging purchases primarily to generate creator earnings or artificially increase performance;

  • Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions;

  • Manipulating orders or customer information;

  • Using bots or automated purchasing systems;

  • Abusing discounts;

  • Encouraging customers to repeatedly cancel and reorder;

  • Misrepresenting CtrlJoy products, pricing, discounts, or promotions;

  • Using misleading advertising or claims;

  • Using paid search advertising targeting CtrlJoy trademarks without written approval;

  • Distributing creator codes through unauthorized coupon or deal websites; or

  • Any activity intended to artificially increase commissions, profit sharing, sales totals, or creator-level performance.

CtrlJoy reserves the right to investigate suspected abuse and withhold associated earnings while an investigation is conducted.

10. Promotion Guidelines

Creators are expected to represent CtrlJoy accurately and honestly.

Creators should:

  • Clearly identify their relationship with CtrlJoy when required;

  • Use accurate product descriptions;

  • Clearly communicate applicable discounts;

  • Avoid misleading claims about products, pricing, earnings, or promotions; and

  • Follow applicable advertising and disclosure requirements and platform rules.

Creators are responsible for the content they publish when promoting CtrlJoy.

11. Creator Collections

Approved creators may work with CtrlJoy to develop a personalized collection.

CtrlJoy reserves the right to approve, modify, reject, discontinue, or remove designs or products from a creator collection.

Creators must have the necessary rights or permission to use artwork, logos, names, trademarks, photographs, or other intellectual property submitted for their collection.

Submitting artwork or other materials does not guarantee that CtrlJoy will approve or produce them.

12. Payouts

Creator code commissions and collection profit-share earnings are subject to CtrlJoy’s applicable payout schedule and minimum payout threshold.

Only finalized qualifying earnings are eligible for payout.

Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, fraudulent transactions, and other adjustments may affect the amount available for payout.

CtrlJoy may delay payment when reasonably necessary to verify transactions or investigate suspected abuse.

13. Returns, Refunds, and Chargebacks

Orders that are cancelled, fully refunded, charged back, fraudulent, or otherwise disqualified do not generate qualifying creator earnings.

If creator earnings were previously credited for an order that later becomes disqualified, the applicable amount may be removed from unpaid earnings or deducted from future creator earnings.

Partial refunds may result in a corresponding adjustment to qualifying net profit and creator earnings.

14. Creator Level Reviews

Creator levels are based on continued qualifying performance and compliance with the program.

Reaching a performance threshold makes a creator eligible for review rather than guaranteeing an automatic upgrade.

CtrlJoy may consider:

  • Qualifying sales during the applicable 90-day period;

  • Number of qualifying orders;

  • Compliance with these Terms;

  • Fraudulent or unusual purchasing activity; and

  • Overall participation in the Creator Program.

Once a creator reaches Featured Creator or CtrlJoy Partner status, CtrlJoy may periodically review their performance to determine whether they continue to meet the applicable requirements.

A creator whose performance falls below the applicable requirements may return to a lower creator level following a performance review.

15. Program Changes

CtrlJoy may modify commission rates, creator levels, qualifying performance requirements, eligible products, discounts, payout requirements, or other program terms.

CtrlJoy may also adjust its calculation of production costs and applicable transaction/payment fees when underlying costs change.

Material changes may be communicated to participating creators before taking effect when reasonably practical.

Continued participation after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Termination

Either the creator or CtrlJoy may end participation in the Creator Program.

Upon termination:

  • The creator’s code may be deactivated;

  • The creator’s collection may be removed or made unavailable;

  • Unpaid qualifying earnings generated before termination may remain payable, subject to these Terms; and

  • Earnings associated with refunded, cancelled, fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise disqualified transactions may be withheld or deducted.

CtrlJoy may immediately terminate participation for fraud, abuse, intellectual property violations, deceptive promotion, manipulation of the program, or other serious violations of these Terms.

17. No Guarantee of Earnings

Participation in the CtrlJoy Creator Program does not guarantee any specific amount of sales, commissions, collection profit sharing, or income.

Creator earnings depend on qualifying purchases, product costs, applicable fees, audience activity, product availability, promotions, and other factors.

18. Acceptance of Terms

By applying to or participating in the CtrlJoy Creator Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to follow these Creator Program Terms.

CtrlJoy reserves the right to administer and enforce the program consistent with these Terms and applicable law.
